Don’s Story

Diagnosed with prostate cancer in December 2001, Don Mehlig has managed his condition so well that his PSA (once 6.8) has remained below 2 and even his oncologist agrees that since January 2002 his cancer is dormant and dying.

Having previously received clean bills of health on a regular basis, Don was shocked at the initial diagnosis. His preliminary research into the causes of prostate cancer and standard accepted therapies (along with their side effects) made him question traditional treatments (e.g., surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, seed implantation, etc.) and he decided to see if a better course of action for him existed.

After months of relentless research, networking and web site searches, Don decided to become a “watchful warrior” who would attempt to manage his condition through diet, vitamins, supplements, exercise, lifestyle changes and consistent monitoring. Along the way, he discovered many facts that are applicable to cancer in general. Don has received invaluable advice from his personal Coaches and Providers and has concluded that cancer is something you cause, not something you get.
